com to apply! SUMMARY Global Precision Systems, LLC (GPS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Senior A/C & Refrigeration Maintenance Technician for El Centro, CA.
The Senior Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician manages the maintenance processes of the equipment, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance, and evaluates equipment information to ensure conformity to industry standards.

The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Mechanic installs new or required components and performs complex modifications of systems and components in accordance with applicable electronic publications and directives, and will maintain and repair specialized laboratory equipment such as fume hoods, de-ionized water systems, bio-clean systems, vacuum systems, cascade refrigeration systems, and laboratory sinks Performs complex repair of systems components such as compressors, condensers, heat pump regulators, fluid and refrigerant gas line valves, meters, gauges, thermostats, pumps, mechanical linkage, and electrical sensing, switching, and controlling devices including pneumatic controls, variable speed drives, digital controlled devices, electronic, hydraulic heating, cooling, and economizer systems Manages the maintenance processes of the equipment, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance, and evaluates equipment information to ensure conformity to industry standards Services commercial kitchen equipment, maintains and repairs Building Automation System (BAS), Energy Management System (EMS), and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Control System Maintains, repairs, inspects, replaces and/or installs air conditioning and refrigeration equipment Manage work orders and perform scheduled preventative maintenance duties Record check sheets and/or documentation for preventative maintenance practices Work with management to keep equipment in good working order Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Willing to work outside normal work hours Assist workers in the field when necessary Minimum of five (5) year's full time experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration trade as an HVAC/R technician in a commercial or institutional setting At least two (2) years leadership experience as a Lead Technician or Foreman Background FIT test required Experience working at Corrections/ICE/DHS/DOD and/or a similar government facility Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Knowledge of motors, pumps, dampers, and actuators Ability to generate paperwork and other manageable documents Ability to work well with others Communication skills Knowledge of maintenance trades Able to pay attention to detail when executing tasks Experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, AHU, and CRAC untis Experience using refrigerant gauges, reclamation systems, and waters source heat pumps Experience with using lighting fixtures, faucets, toilets, and any general trade concerning maintenance repairs Experience inspecting the facility for discrepancies Preferred N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
