LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT OPS)

This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications:
Firefighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Airport Firefighter, Driver/Operator-Pumper, Driver/Operator-ARFF, Driver/Operator-Pumper, and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic Life Support (NREMT-B). These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, you will be rated ineligible. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Utilizing firefighting techniques for fire hazards peculiar to airfields such as aircraft, special weapons, and hazardous materials; 2) Working with firefighting equipment, including fire alarm systems, foam generators, boom and groundsweep nozzles using correct techniques and procedures; 3) Driving/operating a variety of firefighting vehicles, apparatuses, or equipment; and 4) Performing emergency medical procedures. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
