Ballington Academy is a Public Charter School Educating Students from Transitional Kindergarten to Grade Six.
We Offer an Innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Curriculum for all Grades Using a Hands-on Project-Based Learning Approach, Teaching Real-World, 21st Century Skills.
We are seeking a caring individual to help support our Students and Teachers for our Summer Program in El Centro, CA.
Job Opportunity:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, serve as the school to home liaison concerning matters related to compliance with and enforcement of California attendance laws; represent the school in pertinent proceedings; assist students, parents and school personnel in efforts to improve student attendance and reduce tardiness.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Organize and lead the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) meetings, assists schools and parents with the implementation of SARB recommendations, and serves as the liaison between SARB, school personnel, community agencies, and parents.
Interpret and enforce compulsory attendance laws and supervise the resolution of student truancy problems, guardianship, and residency issues.
Assist in implementing policies, regulations, and procedures pertaining to student attendance monitoring.
Assist in interpreting and enforcing the compulsory attendance laws of the State of California by investigating referrals, and preparing interventions.
Prepare reports, surveys, and statistical information projecting and reporting student enrollments in Ballington Academy.
Monitor student attendance reports to inform initiating the SARB process Monitor academic data of students experiencing attendance issues and communicate with parents Assist in the development and implementation of innovative student wellness programs.
Support the SST process to provide attendance issues and input on families with attendance issues.
Conduct home visits as needed Perform other duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position as assigned by the Principal.

Required Credential, Abilities and
Experience:
Education:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of education, psychology, social work, health or related field.
Experience:
Experience in administrative or supervisory role desirable Experience working with a human service agency and/or school interfacing with parents and children.
Requirements:
Must pass background check for the state of California.
Must possess a valid CA Driver's License, automobile insurance, and pass company underwriting for driving approval.
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to work well with children.
Must possess organizational skills.
Must have the ability to interact with staff, the public, parents, and students.
Must have excellent command of the English language -oral, written and business writing skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
